what is miigender?
miigender is a xenogender where the person who describes themself with it may feel that their gender strongly correlates with or feels like miis!
it's possible for someone who is miigender to feel masculine or feminine alignment, or even feel like a male or female while also being miigender. in this case they could label themself as a miigirl or a miiboy, but they don't have to!
i don't get it...
that's okay! and it makes sense, too; gender can be a really personal experience for trans people, especially when said gender isn't very common or is outside the binary. not everyone will understand the labels someone might use to describe their gender, and "weirder" labels might even come from a place of someone struggling to understand their own!
it's most common for neurodivergent individuals, especially those on the autism spectrum, to have trouble understanding their gender/the concept of gender in general. as such they may use terms that they feel describe their gender in the best way that they and/or others can understand!
of course, it's important never to assume why somebody identifies their gender a certain way. particularly if that assumption involves the idea that a person is just "doing it for attention" or "doing it to seem cool and quirky." rejection of these genders is inherently ableist.
any specific pronouns?
miigender individuals can go by any pronouns! if you're ever unsure, you can always ask!
the pronouns mii/miir/miir/miirs/miirself were coined with miigender individuals in mind, but some miigender people may not use these pronouns, and some people who use these pronouns may not be miigender!
